2000 - 2004

The end is near.  Playmates Toys, the makers of our beloved World of Springfield figures and playsets, will stop producing Simpsons items at the end of this 2004 year.  Apparently their license with FOX terminates by the end of the year and will not be renewed.  The only information known thus far is that we can expect at least two more series of figures and playsets to be released along with a final ToyRUs exclusive THOH set.  More news will be posted as it becomes available.

Note:  This news which has been floating around for the past couple of months as many have emailed in about has been officially confirmed by sources of the SCS after attending this year's ToyFair.  It is no longer a rumor.
